Inspirations Paint began in Newcastle in 1979 as a buying group of five independent hardware stores. Over the years, it grew into a national network of specialist paint stores. By 1993, the group had expanded to over 100 stores across all states and territories and is today the largest network of paint specialist stores in Australia, with 132 locations.
In 1997, Inspirations Paint aligned with Dulux, offering customers access to Australia’s leading paint products. The brand relaunched in 2013 under the Inspirations Paint name and the “What’s Your Next Project?” tagline. In 2020, InspirationsPaint.com.au became the first Australian paint store website to offer full eCommerce, with thousands of products and tens of thousands of colours available online.
