This product data sheets shall be read in conjunction with the Dulux specification.
*Limitations: Not suitable for surfaces sealed with alkyd and wate-based sealers. Not suitable for vertical surfaces. Product does not reinstate or restore concrete surfaces affected by efflorescence, sealer that has become old, broken down, brittle, affected by severe delamination or has little resin left to be restored. Product will not fix underlying moisture issues. Surface may need to be stripped back and treated for moisture issues if whitening continues to reoccur.
Application limitations:
• Do not use in high winds or if rain is likely.
• Check the nature of any coating that is to be overcoated prior to coating over sealed surfaces.
• Not a waterproofing membrane.
• Not recommended to seal at extreme surface temperatures below 10°C and above 30°C.
Use PPE during application. Refer to Dulux Avista technical data sheets on duluxavista.com.au for more information.
*Note: Helps reduce whitening in previously sealed concrete surfaces coated with Dulux Avista clear solvent based acrylic sealers. Not suitable for surfaces sealed with alkyd and waterbased sealers. Not suitable for vertical surfaces.
*Disclaimer: Whitening is the milky effect occurring between the coating and does not include efflorescence, polymer floatation and other contamination. Product does not reinstate or restore concrete surfaces affected by efflorescence, sealer that has become old, broken down, brittle, affected by severe delamination or has too little resin left to be restored. Product will not fix underlying moisture issues in a substrate. Moisture issues need to be fixed prior to attempting any sealing.
Caution: The concrete surface can become extremely slippery once the Rejuvenator begins to interact with the existing sealer. Dulux Avista recommends working in small, manageable sections that are within reach of the broom head, without standing in wet Rejuvenator.
Previously sealed concrete surfaces including pavers and stamped, stencilled, coloured and exposed aggregate concrete.
Not suitable for unsealed surfaces.
1. Spray or broom Dulux Avista Rejuvenator onto the affected concrete surface ensuring there is even coverage over the surface. There should not be any pooling of the product on the concrete surface.
2. Wait a minimum of 10 mins for Dulux Avista Rejuventator to penetrate into the affected concrete surface.
3. Work the Rejuvenator into the concrete sealer with a broom for 30–60 seconds with pressure, ensuring the product is worked in multiple directions.
Caution: The concrete surface can become extremely slippery once the rejuvenator begins to interact with the existing sealer. Dulux Avista recommends working in small, manageable sections that are within reach of the broom head, without standing in wet rejuvenator.
4. Leave for 3–5 days. If milky whitening returns, a second coat of the Dulux Avista Rejuvenator may be required.
5. After using Dulux Avista Rejuvenator, wait 4-6 weeks before re-sealing the concrete surface. If surface becomes slippery, slip additive can be used to increase slip resistance.
Refer to Local Council or State/Territory Land Waste Management Authority for disposal.
