All preparation and painting must conform to AS 2311: The Painting of Buildings.
Particular care should be taken to ensure that this product is NOT applied to concrete, masonry or render that has fully cured, for the drying/curing time recommended in AS 2311. Thorough testing should be carried out prior to painting to ensure that the Alkalinity of the surface is suitable for painting and the substrate moisture content is below 12%. Thick powdery films of chalked paint or kalsomine must be washed off and the surface allowed to dry thoroughly before applying this sealer.
All surfaces must be thoroughly dry, clean and free of all loose dirt, grease, mould, mildew and wax, surface chalk and loose or flaking paint. Sand smooth, dust down, fill and prime in accordance with the requirements of the chosen system.
Brush, roller, conventional or airless spray
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a flat broad stirrer using an upward lifting action.
Brush/Roller
Apply by brush or roller, full even coats direct from the container. If necessary up to 100ml per litre of mineral turpentine may be added to ease application.
Airless/Conventional Spray
Suitable for application by all standard spray equipment. If necessary thin with up to 100ml per litre of mineral turpentine to aid atomisation.
