All preparation and painting must conform to AS2311: The Painting of Buildings.
Do not apply when the temperature is below 10C or is likely to fall below 10C during the drying period. Do not apply to exposed surfaces when rain threatens. Avoid applying in direct sun, hot or windy conditions.
Surface preparation of brick, off-form concrete, cement block
Clean off-form oil or other contaminants from surface. Brush with stiff brush and dust down to remove loose surface powder. Fill major cracks with a suitable masonry filler.
Brush or roller
Stir contents thoroughly with a broad flat stirrer, using a stirring lifting action. May be applied by brush, roller or spray, but best results will be obtained with a two man operation using a combination of spraying and rolling. First operator applies a full coat by airless spray, followed immediately by second operator using a charged roller, working the block filler well into all mortar joints and surface imperfections. This operation may need to be repeated on very rough or porous surfaces.
Roller
Apply direct from the can using a long nap roller, exploded foam roller, or other special open mesh texturing roller. Load roller generously, do not overspread or exceed 4.0 square metres per litre.
Airless Spray
May be applied by airless spray. Special set-up is required.
