Precautions and limitations

NB: Dulux Precision Stain and Odour Blocker is incompatible with most other primer and top coat systems. Cross contamination may result in irreversible coagulation of mixed products. Make sure that new roller sleeves and brushes are used when applying Dulux Precision Stain and Odour Blocker. If wanting to use the same brushes with any other water based primer or topcoat wash them thoroughly in water to remove all traces of the previous paint. When spraying ensure that all equipment is thoroughly cleaned and given a final clean water flush before and after using Dulux Precision Stain and Odour Blocker.

All preparation and painting must conform to AS/NZS 2311:2009 Guide to the painting of buildings.

NB: This Standard provides a guide to products and procedures for the painting of buildings for general domestic, commercial and industrial use. The Standard does not include a specific recommendation for the long-term protection of iron or steel exposed directly to the atmosphere or to internal climates likely to have aggressive environments which are dealt with in AS/NZS 2312.

Do not apply if the surface temperature is below 10C or conditions indicate it will fall below10C during the drying period.

This product is not suitable to tint. Tinters are incompatible and will result in coagulation of the primer. For stainblocking applications do not thin.
For aggressive stains from Tannin or activated Lignin resulting from alkaline paint removal processes 2 coats may be necessary to stop the stains.
