Surface preparation
Previously painted surface

Remove as much of the stain as possible by cleaning with Selleys® Sugar Soap, sanding, scraping, etc. Previously painted surfaces: Scrape off loose and flaking paint. Wash with Selleys® Sugar Soap to remove grease and grime. Fill nail holes and cracks with a suitable filler, then sand smooth. Bare timber including weatherboards and hardboards: Sand bare timber to a clean surface and dust down. Fill nail holes and cracks with suitable filler, then sand smooth and dust off. Chalky surfaces: Sand back to a strongly bound surface and dust off. High gloss or hard, aged enamel surfaces: Sand to a dull finish. Plasterboard, masonry, MDF, render, concrete, cement sheet, suitably primed steel, galvanised iron and ZINCALUME®: Fill holes and other imperfections with a suitable filler, sand and dust off. Allow cement render and concrete to cure for a minimum of 28 days before applying Dulux PRECISION® High Opacity Stain Blocker Spray.

How to apply
Brush, Roller

Before spraying: Protect all adjoining surfaces from overspray. Shake the can well for at least one minute after the ball starts to move before use and regularly during use. Lower temperatures and high humidity will slow the drying speed. Avoid spraying when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 35°C. To ensure surface compatibility, test spray on an inconspicuous area.

Spray application: Hold can upright 15 to 25cm from the surface. Spray horizontally with smooth, even strokes parallel to the surface. Apply several light mist coats, wet on wet, rather than one heavy coat which may cause paint dripping or sagging.

How to dispose responsibly
Unused paint
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place and and away from oxidising agents and corrosive materials. Protect from sunlight. Store away from sources of heat and/or ignition. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C. Unused paint: Spray unwanted paint onto newspaper and allow to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections. Empty paint containers: Empty aerosol cans are recyclable via steel can recycling programs. Disposal of empty aerosol containers via domestic recycling programs differ between local authorities. Check with your local council first. For more information on responsible disposal of paint and packaging visit paintback.com.au or painttakeback.co.nz
